Walking: Day 9

Took Friday off to rest up for the weekend. The football game was great and the marching band was too! Our team is on a roll like we have not seen in over 10 years!

Saturday was a very big day, and I made up with all the walking and climbing stairs! Our band, with 6 others, were invited to play with the TAMU-C band for their football game held in the Cotton Bowl yesterday! It was going to be a 'mass band' half time, with all of them marching and playing together. However, the weather did not cooperate, as it rained ALL day! Our kids still sat in the stands with them and played along with them. It was fun for all of us!

I climbed stairs all day, and did a lot of walking. So, that counts for my workout. I will start back on Monday with my morning walks. I am looking forward to much cooler weather soon!

  1. You know when I was in band we marched no matter what...I remember one Homecoming...we wore spats but even those didn't keep some of the band members' shoes on during the turns in the mud...just think what the band missed not having those memories!
    Praying!
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

  2. Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!
Isaiah 43:1-3a But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour...

  4. Don't know how I got the wrong verse on there...that was last night's! Here's today's!
    Lifting up prayers right now!
Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
