NASCAR Racing Experience

Well, this past weekend was a dream come true for my hubby! He drove a real stock car at the NASCAR Racing Experience at Texas Motor Speedway. His good friend was also able to drive. It was fun for all of us, because we were in the pits, right there by the pit wall. They also let us go to the driver's meeting, which was pretty cool too.

I could not stop smiling, because it was such a neat thing for him to do. Here are just a few pictures; I will try to post more at some point.

Check one off your 'bucket list', honey!

Ricky drove the Kasey Kahne #9 Dodge
(neat thing is that his NASCAR jacket is the Dodge #9!)

Ricky's friend drove the #14 Tony Stewart car

Look how happy he is after his drive! :D

  1. Am so happy you were able to do this for him!
Know that I'm still here praying!
Psalms 40:1-4 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

  2. Still praying in Seattle!
Psalms 5:11-12 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  3. Praying!
Psalms 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth (7-8) I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

  4. Know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 86:5-7 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

  5. Oh what a terribly sad day for the racing community! Praying so for all who are hurting!
Know that I'm praying so at this end for you!
Revelation 7:16-17 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
