Don't drive at night without headlights....or else!

Here's a funny! I went to the grocery store at 9 pm last night, because I was too tired after work, and it was too hot at that time anyway.

I see a highway patrol car sitting in the back entrance to the store, with its lights on and the officer with his leg outside the car, and he on his laptop. My first thought was, "Uh-oh, someone got caught!" Since the officer blocked the drive way, I had to go around to the front of the store, which gave this looky-loo a chance to see who the officer had pulled over.

OMGosh, it was a little old man on a scooter! It looked so odd; there he was, just sitting on his scooter, waiting for the officer to return from the car! Although I know it wasn't funny to the man, it sure made me laugh out loud!

I saw the man in the store a little while later. I assume it was too hot to go to the store earlier in the day, so he waited until it was cooler! I almost went up to him and asked if he got a ticket or a warning. I decided he might not want to rehash that little incident!
