Road Trip...Part 1

This is the story of our Road Trip last Saturday:

For several weeks, we had been looking for used cars to
replace my tired mini van. Autotrader.com and Craig's List offered several we were interested in, and wanted to see. Ricky contacted a guy in Norman, OK---yes, you read the right! We left home around 10:30 am. Within minutes this is what we saw on the road:

Right before I pulled the camera out, it was blowing black smoke, and I thought it was appropriate! Ha!

We drove across the Red River, which is the border between Texas and Oklahoma.

You can always tell you are in Oklahoma when you see the red clay soil. So, we had a nice scenic view as we continued on our journey. It wasn't long before we drove past the famous WinStar casino. It is actually pretty cool looking.

A bit farther down the road, we started to drive through the Arbuckle Mountains, near Davis, OK. We literally drove through them.

The journey continued, and so did the scenic views.

Cows...
More red clay soil...
A pretty little lake...

Some other people having fun... We were starting to realize that this little road trip was turning into a long journey into our neighboring state!
