Road Trip...Part 2
Oklahoma is a nice state. We drove...and drove...and asked just HOW far Norman was from our home...and drove some more! When we finally made it, we saw more interesting sights.
The street signs were kind of neat, with the city name on them.
The weather towers were kind of different.
We finally arrived at the car owner's house. We looked it over, took a test drive, and thanked him politely. I was not convinced that this was the car for me. And trust me, I was not convinced that another trip to Norman, OK was in my near future!
By mid afternoon, we were very hungry. We found one of our favorite places to eat--Golden Corral:
After a great meal, we were refreshed, and ready to head back home. Well, maybe not ready exactly, especially after seeing this sign.
One hundred ninety miles, just to Dallas! We had planned to meet another car owner in Carrollton, TX when we got back. So, we journeyed on toward the Lone Star state!
Down the road, the tire air pressure warning came on in the truck. Ricky thought we had a tire going down, so he pulled to the shoulder to check it.
Thankfully, there was an exit close by, and where there is an exit, there is usually a service station.
Thankfully, it was just that the tire was getting hot, and the air pressure was rising--hey, I learned something from watching NASCAR! So, off we went again, on the long journey back to Texas.
