Since we were to meet our drivers at 5:30 pm to go to the banquet, I decided to start getting ready a little early. Soon, my room mate, M, came and we chatted about the excitement and shared a little about ourselves.
It was finally time to meet our new friends! One by one, we met each of the other recipients who had won a scholarship. We loaded the cars and went to the Winbish Mansion, a lovely old mansion in downtown Atlanta, owned and operated by the Atlanta Women's Club.
We began to meet ladies from the Possible Woman Foundation International. It was exciting to meet the people that actually picked us as scholarship winners! There were lots of pictures taken, hugs given, smiles and laughter.
