High School football is here; but really it is MARCHING SEASON! Hooray!
We had our first game last night at home. The football team did well in parts of the game, but not so well in others. We lost, but that is ok. We were even featured as the game of the week for a Dallas TV news show!
Our band and drill team were AWESOME! We are small, but we are MIGHTY. It was so exciting watching our Drum Major Keegan, lead his band for the very first time at a game! We are very proud parents, indeed.
So, for the next several months, our Friday nights and several Satrudays will be full of football, and fun with the band. We love it!

ReplyDeleteLifting up prayers in Seattle!
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

ReplyDeletePsalms 57:1-2 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

ReplyDeleteIsaiah 25:8-9 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

What comfort these words give! Praying!
ReplyDeleteJohn 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The greatest comfort we can have is that the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for us!
ReplyDeleteRomans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
